Camping in the Great Northwest
So, I went on my first camping trip of the season a couple of weeks ago. It’s official, I have camping fever. Here’s a photo of me and the truck shortly after we arrived at Godman Spring in the Umatilla National Forest.
From our campsite it was a short hike to the top of the mountain (elevation 5900′).
Nic is holding his GPS unit. I was so impressed with his unit! I had never seen a GPS device up close before and was really amazed. I assumed GPS was for street navigation, but Garmin has a whole line of GPS units for hiking. I just ordered a GPS Map 60CSx. Can’t wait to get back out thereā¦
